What is Acai?

Açaí is pronounce “Ass-Eye-Ee” and is found in the Pará region of the Amazon estuary, in the northern region of Brazil. It also grows in French Guyana, Panama, Ecuador, and Trinidad. The round, dark purple-to-black berries are harvested to make juice, ice pops, and supplements.

Açaí may help protect the body from harmful toxins that we may be exposed to through the effects of smoking, pollution, and the sun’s rays. This can also help to prevent ailments such as premature ageing, the risk of heart disease and cancer.


This is a chemical compound that tends to shrink or constrict body tissues. If you’re suffering from something like Diarrhoea then this would be useful.
